The OC commentary

Alright people, I haven't been able to update in a week, so my apologies, unfortunately I actually had to do some work last week. But no more, now I am back to discuss a very very serious issue.

Last night's episode of the OC was FAN-tastic. Really, it had pretty much everything you'd ask for in a golden episode (Thank you May sweeps). Kirsten totally breaking down and apologizing to Sandy restores my faith, since they are the Rock of the OC. Shaken, but not broken, the moral compass and shining example to all may be dimmed, but they will be back. The car accident was a little unecessary since we all know Kirsten isn't going to die, but at least it brings us closure to the whole Carter situation.

Now, I don't know about the rest of you, but who else is seriously getting tired of the whole Seth/Summer/Zach triangle? First of all this is the most uncompelling love triangle possible since Seth and Zach are completely whipped. C'mon, I mean yes, Rachel Bilson has a great rack, but they really need to grow a couple cause I have a feeling whichever one Summer doesn't choose is going to mope around in his bathrobe and eat a tube of Hagen Daas trying to figure out what went "wrong". Second, I am not sure anyone else thought this, but when they were fighting under the curtain yesterday, I am almost certain that they were having more fun with each other than they ever have had with Summer. Honestly, has there ever been such an abiguiously guy like Seth. I mean trying to sell me that he loves Summer is a lot harder than trying to tell me that he'd really love to show Zach why he love's Mr. Oats so much.

Finally, the most important question of the day. Jess or Marissa? Personally, I don't think that this is even a debate, which makes this potential trouble spot somewhat unbelievable. Based on what happened in the last episode and what was seen on the preview, we now all know that Jess is going to try and break up Ryan and Marissa. Now, speaking strictly from the point of view of a seventeen year old guy, and according to several exes I may still be one, is there really a choice? Okay, before we get into the nitty gritty, let's establish this baseline, Jess is hotter than Marissa. No questiong about it, admittedly I have a soft spot for fake blondes with Tiffany necklaces, but beyond that Jess is just as pretty as Marissa, and she actually has a smoking body, I mean we're talking Britney circa 2000 level hotness, meanwhile Marissa desperately clings to the Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen Anorexia is PHAT school of eating. Now, if you were 17 year old male which one would you chose. On one hand you have a girl that is constantly on the brink of a nervous breakdown, with assorted mother/father/substance abuse issues that manifest itself in fairly self destructive behavior like telling her parent's that she is the daughter of a slut and a thief in front of the entire community. On the other hand you have a girl that probably has the same issues, but they manifest themselves through endless partying, doing a lot of coke/X/roofies/other good time designer drugs, and someone who is willing to "borrow a pen" in the feaking student lounge. On top of these compelling reasons, there is the additional factor that Jess has probably been in multiple 3somes, and there is like a 99% chance that if you just hook up with her more than twice you are definately a front runner to join in this special club. Now, I wonder which one would be picked? Its not even a contest, this is like watching the Americans play the Saudis in basketball, its there really a point? Its going to be a beatdown.

So there is my OC rant for this week, let's hope something more exciting happens, and for the love of God, Ryan YOU HAVE TO MAKE THE RIGHT CHOICE FOR ALL MAN-KIND (forget about the 18-24 women's demographic for one second Josh).
